Cookbook Club is a potluck style regular gathering of hobbyist cooks that seek out inspiration in the culinary world and have found community at the dining table together.
The hosting rotates every month and the hostess chooses the cookbook (often we use a polling system to help the hostess decide). She is responsible for a main dish or course and also for having some wine on hand. She also often chooses to set a nice tablescape.

Everyone arrives with their just cooked dish in hand and all are set and styled for a photo with the cookbook. While everyone mingles or prepares any last minute garnishes , reheating, or emulsifying , etc, others are showing the food or taking photographs.

We then sit for dinner and have wonderful conversations. Discussing the recipes we chose (and the others we tried during the month too) and whether the methodology, ingredients, or instructions worked well. We of course taste the outcome!
